CinemAmbiente in cooperation with Circoscrizione VI - Torino, organizes the film exhibition 'Ecokids 2011', screenings for the primary schools of the city. All the events will be introducedby an environmental expert.

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2010, CinemAmbiente has planed four initiatives to promote reflection on public space and its connection with urban green.
June 5th-6th 2010
Green Column
Elisabetta Buffa has created a 2-meter high column consisting of 400 plants, an installation that expresses the idea of transforming the urban landscape and reflects the concept of nature as the source of architectural archetypes. At the center of the column is a optic box that offers visitors a view of the city transformed into a garden.

Park(ing)
Park(ing) is a collective project launched in San Francisco in 2005 which for one day will take to the streets of Turin: associations and environmentalists will organize their own park by occupying parking spaces along via Montebello, via San Massimo, and via Giolitti, thus creating a path from Cinema Massimo, the main CinemAmbiente venue, to the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences, the meeting place for the guerrilla gardens national meeting.
THEY ARE INVOLVED
Coldiretti, Laboratorio ambiente qualità urbana e partecipazione, Orto mobile di Patrick Hubmann, Landgrab (Nora Bertolotti e Stefano Massimello), Bithouse, Se puede (studenti del Politecnico con Muovi Equilibri), Istituto per l’ambiente e l’educazione Scholé Futuro, Reviplant (con Paola Masuelli), Badili Badola, Seacoop (società agronomi, forestali e naturalisti), Orto botanico Rea, Equamente, Lov - Vancheiglia Open Lab, Associazione culturale Izmo.

Green streetcar
On 5 and 6 June, the metropolitan transport service Gtt will operate a green trolley containing three installations on the topic of horticulture and gardening: Elisabetta Buffa’s installations entitled Un tram che, come l’uomo, ha un cuore verde (A streetcar which, like man, has a green heart) are composed of copper, leaf, and flower panels; using an Orto-Mobile (Movable vegetable garden), Marco and Paolo Gramaglia will exhibit types of produce that are rarely cultivated today; the group Damma Damma, together with Paola Falcone, in a performance entitled Semi in viaggio (Travelling seeds), will offer passengers packets of seeds to promote the greening of the city.

Shopping carts
Marco Gramaglia has transformed Coop shopping carts into small gardens. Aromatic herbs, produce and flowers arranged in a harmonious composition of fragrances and tastes characteristic of various different cuisines from around the world (Piedmont, the Mediterranean, and the Orient) show that the differences between people, religions and traditions can offer an occasion to share and appreciate variety.
THEY ARE INVOLVED THE COOP OF Beinasco (Torino), Casale Monferrato (Alessandria), Ciriè (Torino), Cuneo, Galliate (Novara), Gravellona Toce (Verbania), Pinerolo (Torino), Torino.
