CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese

During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.

La piena - The flood

"Technology is on our side, will Mother Nature be too?"
The question is one that makes us think. It is also the guiding thread of this animated film, a metaphor of the possible damage that man can do to the ecosystem.
Before the very eyes of a baby rhino a small but dangerous mole exploits natural resources for its experiments, with unpleasant consequences. But a flood caused by a violent storm will be providential.

Il regista / The Director

Simon Piniel was born in Winterthur in 1974. From 1995 to 2000 he studied at the Academy of Art and Design, specializing in the film and video section (hgkz). In 1998 he followed an animation course at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver (Canada).
His works include: Tony (1996), Der Gehülfe(1997), Space (1998), Clean Fishy (2000).
