The documentary was shot during the so-called "garbage emergency", which went on in Campania for over two months. After the old dumps were closed down, garbage bags were left everywhere in the streets. In Campania, a region where the Camorra criminal organization profited from the garbage business for many years disseminating toxic substances and any kind of poisons, the garbage war has become a "matter of honour". There are also people believing that something could be done, after years and years of irresponsible neglect.
