Her name is Green; she’s a female orangutan; she’s seen her natural habitat disappear around her as the forests have been cleared to make way for palm plantations. Today, few orangutans still inhabit the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra. Accompanying Green on her final days, we discover the extraordinary biodiversity of these areas and the threat of their destruction.

Part documentary, part videoart, the film takes us into the Amazon by night to explore the world’s most biodiverse ecosystem and discover its extraordinary natural heritage. The trees tell a tale of ongoing destruction: deforestation threatening the survival of mankind and the extinction of entire animal and plant species.
