The ghost town of Pripyat near Chernobyl, the archeological site Petra in Jordan, Aral Lake with its stranded, rusting ship hulks, the tulips fields of Holland, the icy expanses of the Antarctic, Mecca invaded by pilgrims, Chad Lake and its population threatened by extinction. These are just some of the places photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand has immortalized in a documentary that is part sequel and part backstage story to Home, a film in which he examines the real impact of global warming, pollution, and deforestation on our planet.
Yann Arthus-Bertrand, a nature photographer, has worked on assignment for «Paris Match», «Life», and «National Geographic», as well as directed the documentaries La Terre vue du ciel (2004) and Home (2009), both presented at CinemAmbiente.
