CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese

During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.

Mountain Chronicle

The Alpe di Succio on the main crest of the Apennines between Tuscany and Emilia: a crossroads of history and individual destinies that defy stereotyping, more the offspring of an ideology than of reality. The film tells the stories of a woman who raises a daughter while tending her flocks; a shepherd’s son coping with an existential crisis; Italian rock star Giovanni Lindo Ferretti who writes poetry and breeds horses: people who have made a conscious lifestyle choice and are determined to survive in a rugged environment that merits protection.

Il regista / The Director

Filippo Lilloni directed HK Tale (2003), which earned him first prize at the Festival dei popoli, Florence. Together with Giovanna Poldi Allai, he filmed the documentary Madre (2008).
Sandro Nardi made his directorial debut with the documentary C’era una rivolta (2005).

L'Alpe di Succiso sul crinale principale dell'appennino tosco-emiliano è un mondo poco conosciuto da curare e proteggere perchè è un tesoro vivente. L'intento è quello di proporre una visione della montagna il più possibile aderente alla realtà , non stereotipata ma viva, un racconto del presente realizzato dall'occhio del documentarista in cui i protagonisti possono riconoscersi. Queste persone ancora sopravvivono nel rispetto delle leggi naturali e sono un esempio dove la natura non è riconducibile ad un'ideologia, ma ad una tradizione.
