CinemAmbiente in cooperation with Circoscrizione VI - Torino, organizes the film exhibition 'Ecokids 2011', screenings for the primary schools of the city. All the events will be introducedby an environmental expert.
Loner and paranoid, stranger to the American optimism that has always guided the country, Michael Ruppert, former policeman, is a now a free-lance reporter who predicted long before it struck the present global economic crisis in a self-financed article that appeared in the magazine, «From the Wilderness», in 1998. Sitting in a darkened room that resembles a bunker more than a private home, Ruppert tells of his life, his theories on energy policy, and his hopes for a radical change in current development models that will avert a collapse of the system.
Chris Smith made his first film, American Job (1996), followed by American Movie (1999). He went on to direct Home Movie (2001), The Yes Men (2003) and The Pool (2007). Collapse has been screened at numerous festivals, including Toronto and Berlin.
