CinemAmbiente in cooperation with Circoscrizione VI - Torino, organizes the film exhibition 'Ecokids 2011', screenings for the primary schools of the city. All the events will be introducedby an environmental expert.
With near-visionary farsightedness, Jimmy Carter, 2 years into his presidency, had 32 solar panels installed on the White House roof in 1979. Unsurprisingly, Ronald Reagan had them removed 7 years later, signalling a radical turn in energy policy of the United States. Some 30 years later, Christina Hemauer and Roman Keller retrace the history of the White House panels and the events surrounding the 1973 oil crisis which marked an entire decade.
Christina Hemauer earned a masters degree from the University of Zurich and attended the Fine Arts Academy, Ghent, Belgium.
Roman Keller studied photography and earned a masters in environmental sciences from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
