Green Porno 1 & 2
Conceived, written and directed by Isabella Rossellini, the Green Porno series began in 2008 as an experiment of the Sundance Film Festival (www.sundancechannel.com) website, a series of shorts on environmental topics for the general public. Then came the idea to expand it to a colourful, entertaining format, while maintaining a scientifically accurate content. In the 14 episodes (8 in the first, 6 in the second) Rossellini interprets various different animal species, insects, invertebrates or fish in the act of reproduction. The whole conception of outlandish costumes, novel screenplays, whimsical tone and impeccable science helped it gain an audience of 4 million viewers during the first series, followed shortly by the second.

Isabella Rossellini has appeared in numerous box office hits, including David Lynch's Blue Velvet (1986), Nikita Mikhlakov's Oci ciornie (1987) and David Lynch's Wild at Heart (1990), in addition to TV productions. Her first screenplay was for Guy Maddin's My Dad Is 100 Years Old (2005), about her father, Roberto Rossellini. As a model she has appeared in "Vogue", "Elle" and "Vanity Fair", and posed for photographers Richard Avedon and Bruce Weber.
Jody Shapiro is a documentary and fiction film producer for the big screen and for TV productions, previously for
Rhombus Media, and currently for his own company, Everyday Pictures. He has received numerous international awards
for Guy Maddin's The Saddest Music in the World (2003), Kevin McMahon's An Idea of Canada (2003), Larry Weinstein's
Beethoven's Hair (2005) and Guy Maddin's My Winnipeg (2007). His directorial debut film was the documentary Braker
(2005), presented at numerous international festivals.
