Drawing on Brian Eno's By This River, the video explores the relationship between man and nature and reflects on the vastness of space, represented as a limitless, unalterable desert.
Courtesy Artists
Founded in 2000 and based in Bologna and Brussels, the artists’ group ZimmerFrei (Massimo Carozzi, Anna de Manincor, Anna Rispoli) combines cinema and theater, and produces multimedia installations that explore urban landscapes in a mixture of mental and physical reality. The group's recent works focus on the visualization of time, the boundaries between public and private space, and a novel perception that recombines visual, spatial and acoustic hierarchies. The group has curated several collectives, events and artist in residence programs. In 2008 the group was awarded an artist in residence scholarship at the ISCP, New York with the Seat prize.
