CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese

During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.

A delicately drawn green fable, taken from the children's book of the same name and illustrated by the director, Varmints tells the story of a rodent-like make-believe creature that sees its formerly peaceful life disturbed by civilization: where green pastures once extended into the horizon, ominous black skyscrapers now sprout up, where nature and sunlight once reigned in peaceful harmony, noise and fumes advance with urban sprawl where indifference now rules.

Il regista / The Director

Marc Castle works as senior animation director for the London production company Studio AKA. Engaged in advertising, he has made award-winning commercials for Orange, Guinness and Compaq, along with short films for the "Pica Towers" series. His Jo Jo in the Stars (2003) has won numerous international awards, including the Best Animated Short Film at BAFTA 2004 and the Carton d’Or 2005.
