CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese

During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.

Restless Earth

In this chronicle of the 1908 Messina earthquake, Bellia combines archive footage, old photographs, newspaper clippings and present-day footage to pay tribute to a city and its inhabitants; this short takes an experimental approach, giving voice to the images accompanied by an evocative soundtrack.

Il regista / The Director

Antonio Bellia (b. Catania, 1969) began to direct video clips, videos and documentaries enquiring into Sicilian reality in 1996 (Peppino Impastato: storia di un siciliano libero, Senza Tempo, Crimini di pace), awarded at numerous events and festivals. He has worked as assistant director to Marco Tullio Giordana, Daniele Ciprì, Franco Maresco, and Roberto Faenza. 'A pirrera (La miniera) and Biciclette were presented at CinemAmbiente in 2006 and 2007. Documentaries to his credit are Spazio ecologico urbano, Cronache di mafia and Belice 68 TerreinMoto.
