The environmental disaster produced by the Augusta petrochemical plant since it went into operation in the late 1950s: fishing and agriculture destroyed, coastline and aquifer polluted. Accounts given by the few remaining fishermen; excerpts from Alessio Di Modica’s plays performed by the Casa Comune Area Teatro workshop that present the changes eastern Sicily has undergone in the post-WWII era; memories and battles against the giant plant. This documentary is touching in the way Di Modica uses the traditional "cuntu" narrative style; compelling stories from everyday life.
