CinemAmbiente in cooperation with Circoscrizione VI - Torino, organizes the film exhibition 'Ecokids 2011', screenings for the primary schools of the city. All the events will be introducedby an environmental expert.
In Friuli the autumn fog blurs past and present; four people discover they share a common potentially fatal experience: exposure to asbestos dust. Ivan Gergolet succeeds in depicting the drama of asbestos-related disease, constructing a short fiction in which the narrative advances slowly, in an interplay between fog-covered landscapes and dream-like situations, creating tension that tells a good story with an element of social engagement.
Ivan Gergolet (b. Monfalcone [GO], 1977) earned a degree in filmmaking from DAMS, University of Bologna. His first film was the documentary-style short Migranti (2002), a story of two Rumanian migrants, followed by Purple News, about free daily newspapers, the award-winning Quando il fuoco si spegne (2005), Akropolis, and Luna Park (2007), a documentary about youth violence in Gorizia, which was broadcast on the RAI Educational channel. Jointly with the collective Fagiani alla Spina, he made La collezione di Medea (2007), which won the Makingo 6x60 cinema marathon.
