A documentary as an act of love toward her newborn daughter, her people, her city: Caserta. In this description of the Campania garbage crisis, the film starts from the viewpoint of a mother worried about her children's health. But her concern grows to include the rest of the local population when she discovers dioxin in mother's milk and buildings made with radioactive waste mixed into the cement, along with other hidden wrongdoings that have created an unsustainable situation. Interweaving interviews, animation sequences, and footage of the garbage crisis as it unfolded, the film takes a highly personal approach to chronicling one of Italy's most dramatic recent events.

Barbara Rossi Prudente (b. Caserta) earned a degree in literature at the University of Naples. After a stint as assistant director on various film sets, she won the Premio Solinas for the screenplay of the feature Esterno sera (1999); she then studied at the Scuola di Fiction Mediatrade in MEDIASET (2000), where she taught in 2003. She has written screenplays for numerous TV series, including "Carabinieri", "Le stagioni del cuore", "Elisa di Rivombrosa", "Un posto al sole", "Commissario di bordo", "Finché morte non vi separi" and "La squadra". Her short Non ti aspettavo (2006) was presented at the Tribeca Film Festival in the short film competition category.
