In these stories told by the people on six different farms, the rural traditions of Tipperary Country farmers have not yet given way to the modern consumer lifestyle. Mixing animation and live-action footage, Donoghue has made a visually innovative documentary at low environmental impact using basic equipment, a bicycle to get around with, and natural light. The film has been shown at numerous international festivals, including the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

Tony Donoghue started with audiovisuals after working as a biologist for The Ecological Parks Trust and the Natural History Museum, London, making documentaries of rural life and traditions. Works to his credit include My Little Pretty Thing (1994), Zoom 1 (1994), Zoom 2 (1994), Mandala (1994), Body Projections (1998); the exhibition Masks (2008) was installed at The Ark, a children’s cultural center in Dublin.
