CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese

During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.

Benvenuto in San Salvario

Welcome to San Salvario

In San Salvario, the area in Turin with the largest number of immigrants, an unemployed photographer adapts himself to working for them. They are eager to send their families and friends at home pictures proving their success in Italy. After being fired from the local newspaper and practically penniless, the protagonist gets more sympathy from the San Salvario foreign people than from his fellow citizens, who seem to be only interested in the profit they can make with multi-ethnic contacts.

Il regista / The Director

Enrico Verra was born in Turin in 1962. He graduated in History of the Cinema with a final dissertation on Monte Hellman. Many of his films deal with the social reality of the territory he lives in. He directed: You gotta move (1989), Italo (1990), Real Falchera F.C. (1991), Il signor Rossi prese il fucile (1994) e No Man's Land (1995).
