«The effects of POPs (persistent organic polluters) are becoming especially evident in the Inuit community. Because the chemicals are concentrated here, brought by ocean and air currents and animals, the Inuit people have extremely high toxic levels in their blood, leading to sickness and premature death. It’s an inconceivable tragedy that those people living in the most respectful way with regard to their environment are victimized by the waste of the rest of the world».
