At some future point, the ice mantle covering the Antarctic will have melted due to lobal warming. Searching for cooler environs, a penguin is persuaded by a picture postcard of snow-capped Swiss Alps that this might be just the place. But the Swiss border guards appear little inclined to allow the animal to enter… An entertaining short film that combines animation and fiction with interesting turns of plot.
Marcel Barelli (b. 1985, Londrino, Switzerland) studied chemistry until 2004. In 2005 he enrolled at the School of Fine Arts, Geneva, and then transferred in 2006 to HEAD, the school's department of cinematography. He has directed two short films: Il était une fois Cuba (2006) and Tous les autres s'appellent Terry (2007).
«The aim of this film for children (of all ages) is to raise awareness about the problem of environmental immigration».
