Me and safety - Tales of life and work

Starting from the work accident-related death of Giovanni Falbo, the narration progresses in a series of voices, testimonies, and reflections on one of Italy’s most compelling issues: occupational safety in a country where far too many work-related accidents and deaths occur.

Il regista / The Director

Solange Pasquettaz, a young film director from the Valle d'Aosta, directed Diritte sanza Rovesci (2007), which together with Io e la sicurezza- Racconti di vita e di lavoro, is part of a Valle d'Aosta INAIL (National Board for Insurance against Accidents in Industrial Work) project designed to raise public awareness about occupational safety norms.

I wanted to talk about work and safety through the testimony of accident victims who wanted to relate their experience and involve others. The hope is that, even if very personal, their accounts may be a better means to help reduce the number of work-related accidents than the strident polemic we normally hear».
