CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese

During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.

Gray, inhospitable, dehumanized, yet the world constitutes a unique resource entrusted to our hands: the processes of rampant modernization that have turned our cities into traffic nightmares can still be reversed. Papiroflexia explains how by drawing inspiration from poetic, dream-like images in a hymn to nature and simplicity.

Il regista / The Director

Joaquin Baldwin (b. 1983, Paraguay) lives in Los Angeles where he works in animation and 3D graphics after graduating from the Columbus College of Art & Design and UCLA. His works include: PedXing, The Hunt of Baba Yaga, The Garden of Proserpine, Placenta, Alphamorphosis and Sebastian's Voodoo, all of which reveal his keen interest in the environment and respect for nature.

“A lot of my work is inspired by poetry, poetry with lots of visual imagery. Papiroflexia actually started as a poem; it was a sonnet I wrote years ago, and then turned it into an animation.”
