CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese

During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.

La mano dell'Orso

Three brothers live in the clearing of a distant forest. One day, the youngest is sent to gather firewood but is so afraid that he keeps his eyes shut. He then meets a bear who helps him. The next day, he goes out hunting but keeps his eyes open because he’s no longer afraid. He meets the bear again but this time… This film is a fable about the man-animal relationship; simple in structure and technique, it carries a subtle yet bitter moral.

Il regista / The Director

Marina Rosset (b. 1984, Lausanne, Switzerland) studied animation at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Visuels de la Cambre, Brussels, and graduated from the HSLU (Hochschule für Design und Kunst, Luzern) in 2007. Her debut film Après le chat was shown at the 2006 CinemAmbiente Festival.

«La main de l’ours is my graduation film. I wanted to tell a slightly sad story in a pleasant way that would be good for children».
