CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese

During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.

The discovery of nature’s beauty, the joy and thrill it stirs in us all, seen through the eyes of the young main character in this tender adaptation of a short story by Josè Saramago. It only takes a drop of water to quench the thirst of a lonely flower growing on a parched hillside and to restore it with life and hope.

Il regista / The Director

Juan Pablo Etcheverry decided to study fine arts out of a passion for comics and cartoons. His directorial film debut was the short El niño testarudo (1997), followed by Monos (1997), Danza sopra papel (1998), Egon Schielle (1998), Paranomasia (1998), Linko Killer Machine (1999), and the commercials Los freak visitan al niño (2000), Dog Interface (2000) El àrbol de Calle 13 (2001), De tripas y corazòn (2002), Minotauromaquia, Pablo en el laberinto (2004). He has tought numerous courses in design and animation in Spain and Germany.

«I’d like viewers to think about the story. I know it may be difficult (...). But I think the film needs to be seen a couple of times to appreaciate the sublties in it».
