A trip along the peninsula, from Foggia to Turin during the summer tomato campaign, from the harvest to the rite of bootling. Stories from struggling farmers, unlikely local TV presenters, ambitious small scale industrialists and nostalgic for their homeland immigrants.
Gianfranco Pannone (Naples, 1963) graduated from Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. He currently lives in Rome, where he teaches at NUCT (the New University of Cinema and Television) and collaborate with the Scuola Zelig in Bolzano. He has many experiences in theater, cinema and television. He then made various documentaries and short fiction film that have been screen in national and international festivals and film series. He is a member of the association of documentary filmmakers, Doc-Italia.
