When the former Soviet Union crumbled, so did Cuba's economy, and with it, intensive agriculture switched to organic-natural methods. A historic perspective on the question of peak oil, showing an example of how to overcome it.

Writer, painter-sculptor, Faith Morgan worked for many years at the Arthur Morgan Institute for Community Solutions, a
no-profit association based in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She followed the work of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil
and Gas in Europe, participating in the organization of the first of three conferences on peak oil and the Community
Solutions held in the U.S. The Power of Community. How Cuba Survived to Peak Oil (2006) is her directorial debut film.
