Are you ready to follow the feats of eco-rapper Charris Ford, better known as The Granola Ayatollah of Canola, and unchallenged champion of Biodiesel? Behind the wheel of his van, running on used vegetable oil together with his special friend Daryl Hannah, exceptional guest star for years engaged in numerous environmental battles, the inventor of Eco-Rap will show us the potential of a decidedly innovative source of energy capable of substituting our conventional fuels. Set in Telluride, Colorado, the first city in the United States to run a public bus entirely on Biodiesel, the film boasts a cast of fantastic and colourful characters with an even more “original” soundtrack in which Charris Ford merges hip hop with bluegrass and Electric Sitar.
Il regista / The Director
Howard Donner is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician and a well-known expert in Wilderness Medicine. Dr. Donner served as an Expedition Physician, and as a medical officer. As co-author of Field Guide to Wilderness Medicine, Dr. Donner is a frequent national lecturer and has provided medical support as a volunteer. Dr. Donner works as a pilot and independent filmmaker.
“When I was asked to participate in the film French Fries to Go, I thought it would be mostly about the technical aspects of biodiesel. However the film has a much broader appeal because it is a light hearted look at how each one of us can make a difference for the environment in our own communities. The film seems to strike a cord with everyone who sees it because it is one of those rare environmental films that is actually fun to watch”.
