CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese

During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.

Consumidouro

In the constant race to consume, any individual living in the rich Western world takes pleasure in his/her life of plenty, made possible only by the exploitation of the resources of others. But are we sure there is still something left to grab on this planet of ours? Here we have a fresh, entertaining animated short from Brazil, but no, wait a moment, let’s leave it at merely fresh, …considering the results achieved by the greedy protagonist.

Il regista / The Director

Fàbio Po, Felipe Grosso, Juliano Lamb and Walkir Fernandes, after meeting in 2004 during a course on animation, began working as a team of animators on Paulo Munhoz’s short film Pax and on the full-length film Brichos. They then went on to make several television commercials, and Consoumidouro is their debut as film directors.

“Our intention when we produced this film was to quickly put together questions about : compulsive consumerism, individualism, disrespect and the indifference to the future of our planet. It's about human behaviour and our relationship with the environment. Today, every single one of us has a responsibiliity towards the environment, and we should listen to our conscience in every sector of our society, continually searching for solutions to create a sustainable community”.
