Once the most common fish in Senegal, the thiof is now threatened by extinction, the outcome of which will be the lack of a basic element in the Senegalese diet. The cause of this national drama? Globalisation of the fishing industry.

Bruno Vincent (1981) graduated from the INRACI, Brussels, in 2002. Af-
ter working as a projectionist in a small cinema, he founded his own
production company, Demande à la poussiere, which makes video clips,
commercials and documentaries.
