The Indian scientist and philosopher Vandana Shiva is the environmental-feminist’s movement spokesperson. She opposes fierce resistance against the destruction of the environment and genetic engineering in favour of the rights of indigenous people. Forth of five episodes about Woman and Nature in India relised by Swiss Italian Television
Il regista / The Director
Werner Weick, journalist and documentary director for TSI, correspondent
in Asia, South and North America, Africa and many european countries,
has realised about 100 political, historical and cultural documentaries.
Among them there are Herman Hesse and C. Gustave Jung biographies, the
TV series I cercatori dell’infinito (Seekers of Infinite, seven episodes
about spirituality) and Il filo d’oro (The Golden Ray) dedicated to
“hidden protagonists” of the contemporary culture. Soon, TSI will show
three episodes about philosopher Krishnamurti and three about Raimon
Panikar, one of the most important exponent of dialog between culture
and religion of our century.
