Deep in the Dutch Brabant countryside there is a rather unusual farm. You cannot hear the chickens scratching about in the yard or the bellowing of cattle; there is no smell of pigsty. No sound, no smell for the 20,000 small white rabbits in long rows of cages. We are approaching the day we shall follow their destiny, from...death to birth.

Born in 1978, Leo Wentink studied direction at the Utrecht School of Art, while also working for numerous television programs. Now he lives and works in Amsterdam.‘.Nijnok’ is his first film.
