In the Gulf of Palmas, on the south-west coast of Sardinia, the fishermen of Basso Sulcis cannot go out to sea because of NATO military manoeuvres at Campo Teulada firing ground. Since 1997, restrictions for fishermen have been getting steadily stricter and larger areas of sea have become off-limits for them. Nevertheless the fishermen do not want to give up; they want their sea back.
Born in Cagliari in 1961, Enrico Pitzianti studied at the New York film Academy after having graduated in Law. Among his works we may mention Il guardiano (1998), Il gobbo (2000), Un anno sotto terra (2003). At present he is working on his first long-running film Tutto torna.
