Blue Vinyl

Vinile blu

Judy Halfand ventures on a journey to find out the truth about PVC, the most popular plastic material in the US. Her first steps move from her parents’ experience who, after first enthusing about it, realise they are dealing
with an extremely toxicant substance. The film is a “toxic” odyssey dense with dramatic turns
of events, hovering between a detective-story and environment activism. A critical point of
view which yet finds a balance between the daily horror we are surrounded by and the
popular entertaining humour tinged with the colour of denunciation and social conscience
through which companies are asked to provide an explanation for concealing the toxicity of the substances they produce.
