In casale Monferrato the multinational asbestos company Eternit has just celebrated an eighty-year prosperous sodality with concrete. The hard-working workmen whose rights hadn’t been recognised and the citizens of Casale allured by promises of growth and wealth had not been informed that the bill was on them and it would have had to be paid with disease and death. Naturally some knew but rather kept quiet. The documentary is an account of the struggle to get rid of the impalpable danger which has greatly contributed to banish asbestos in Italy.
