The impact of September 11th attack on Arabs and Muslims in America. Fear and ignorance turn into boycott and prejudices. In interviews with Arab and Muslim immigrants, government representatives, and a select group of legal and historical experts, this film explores the causes and growth of a phobia getting as far as the denial of civil rights to a whole religion or a political group. America’s fear of terrorism has nega- tively impacted a substantial portion of the immigrants as well as US nationals with the wave of racial intolerance and reactionary legislation, social and economic discriminations and seclusion.
Il regista / The Director
Nicolas Rossier, born in Zürich in 1971, has studied Economics and Political Sciences at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva. Since 1988 he has studied acting and direction at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and the School for Visual Arts, New York. He has worked as cameraman all around the world and then he founded Baraka Production, in 2001 he released his first documentary Life is a Dream. A Street Poet in New York.
