CinemAmbiente at Vico Canavese
During the whole month of august CinemAmbiente in cooperation with the library of Vico Canavese organizes the film exhibition "CinemAmbiente in Valchiusella". The films will be screened at the Salone Pluriuso (Regione Lime) - free entry. All the events will be introduced by Gaetano Capizzi and Debora Bocchiardo.[Archive]
Presentation
Since its beginning, in 1998, Cinemambiente Environmental Film Festival has carried out a special section for schools called EcoKids.
Ecokids section hosts a film program for grades 1-12 schoolchildren. The program unites children and their teachers with environmental experts to learn more about environmental topics through cinematographic media and to develop educational resources and material. In fact, following the film presentations are meetings and debates with environmental educators from Legambiente and the Piemonte Regional Environmental Protection Agency (ARPA), in which students are engaged in discussion about the subject of the film and encouraged to share their ideas.
Recognized for its educational quality, the program enjoys the official support of the Ministero dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca and the Ufficio Scolastico Regionale per il Piemonte
The EcoKids Project has gone from strength to strength, involving some 20 communities throughout the Province of Turin. Last year’s EcoKids section attracted nearly 7000 students.
