Carpatia

Carpatia is a poetic journey in the rural landscapes of a mountain region crossing the southeastern European territories. Landscapes which, at a first glance seem to be unknown and far, indeed give us the chance to find our common historical and cultural roots. Far from an idyllic outlook, the documentary is a truly heartfelt and vibrant emotional portrait of places and landscapes in the Carpazi amid the modern gold finders and the peasants whose lives follow the alternation of seasons.

Il regista / The Director

Andrzej Klamt (1964) was born in Bytom, in Poland. At the age of 15 he moved to Germany where he founded Halbtotal Filmproduktion in 1990. Ulrich Rydzewsky (1959) was born in Erkrath, he educated in music and started making shorts and videos. In 1995 he set up ATON Recordings record lable.
